Designing a Trophy
Food, Inc. grew from a film into a movement: a community of people committed to healthier living and changing the food industry. Participant Media and TakePart invited that community to nominate themselves for the first annual Food, Inc. Award, celebrating the real-life changes people had made.
The trophy was designed around the film's iconic cow-and-barcode image, laser cut from bamboo and engraved.

Outcome
The trophy was awarded to Alice Waters, celebrated as the "mother of American food" for four decades of championing organic, pesticide-free eating.
The design was recognized in PRINT magazine's 2014 3D Design Awards.
